Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is the world’s fastest growing water sport and is a great place to start if you are new to the water. It helps to build your confidence and balance, plus there is no better feeling than a gentle paddle along the beautiful Hythe coastline to relax you after a busy day.
On Tuesday Evenings, between May and October we like to make the most of the summer evenings and get out for a paddle with The SUP Hub @ 6pm
The SUP Hub is a group of paddle boarding fanatics, that just love being out on the water and enjoying what our coastline has to offer. They are a fun and sociable group to head out on the water with and amongst them are some qualified instructors that will be on hand to help you improve your paddling techniques and confidence.
Due to the exposed location where HSSC is positioned on the English Channel, the conditions are always changing and are sometime not suitable for paddle boarding. If this is the case, then The SUP Hub will take to the canal for a more relaxing cruise. (Please note that a license is required if you are not paddling with The SUP Hub.)
Keep an eye out on the HSSC Facebook page, for updates on where the paddles will be setting off from each week.
If you have never been paddle-boarding before, we would recommend that you have a lesson first. You can contact The SUP Hub at Folkestone Seasports for more information and we are sure they will help you get to your feet in no time!
