another lively party!

At Hythe and Saltwood Sailing Club, socialising
begins on the beach, as we relax in between sessions of sailing or
windsurfing. The large beach outside the Club is always a focus
for members on sunny days, with families "pitching up"
for the day in large groups of adults and children. These lazy days on the
beach are often followed up by impromptu bar-be-ques at the Club, stretching
into the evening as we relax on the balcony and watch the world go
by as the sun goes down .
Throughout the year a regular series of social
events are arranged by our Social Secretaries, from the Fitting
Out Party at the start of the sailing season,
to our Annual Dinner and Dance at the end of November. These events also
include rounders matches, tennis, social evenings, quiz-nights, not to
mention a party given any and every excuse whatsoever!
A firm favourite with the windsurfers is our annual paintball trip. What better way to
unwind after a hard season on the beach, than by laying face down in a pool of mud whilst
trying to shoot the *!!&%! out of your mates! Understandably, this is a very
popular
event.
Being firmly a family club, children are very well
catered for. With the exception of a few parties just for the
adults, children are always more than welcome at our events, and
will certainly find playmates of all ages with whom to explore the
dinghy park or "make camp" in the changing rooms! Of
course we also hold regular children's events, including Halloween
and Christmas parties, Easter egg hunts, bouncy castles and loads
more.
If you like the company of friendly people, what
better place to spend your free time?! You will be more than
welcome.
