Top sailors this
time round were the AquaSports 100% fun team who just nudged Bewl
into second place.
The Hythe
& Saltwood SC hotshots sailed brilliantly to win both the 4.5 and
5.5 classes outright with bullets, but could only finish third team just
ahead of Ardingly Activity Centre.
Twenty-one
junior racers fought it out in windy conditions over four races on a variety of
user-friendly courses.
Outstanding
performances from Hythe’s Ollie Brooks and Eliot Carney showed their
potential as future race stars, while AquaSports aquanaut brothers, Anthony
and Redmond Scales, carried top places in the 3.5 class.
More
sibling rivalry in the 6.5 class meant that Bewl’s Ali G
(indaclubhouse!) dropped only on race to brother Sebastian Graham to
win his class.
Special
mention should go to the girls Daisy Binks, Lucy Stewart and Emma Royston
who finished in the top five places in three out of four classes.
Overall,
a great day’s windsurfing with amazing hospitality from Bewl’s Jill White and
Graham Drake and excellent support from a superb team of parents, spouses,
coaches and boat crew.
Next
events are at AquaSports on Sunday,19 May, Ardingly Activity Centre on
Saturday, 15th June and Hove Lagoon on Saturday, 29th June.
