Zara Petts takes Silver and Gold
Medals for Windsurfing, Techno 4.5, at the Eric Twiname Championships 2011
at Rutland Water
This weekend, May 7th and 8th, Zara Petts (12) of Hythe Hotshots had the
opportunity to compete at national level in the prestigious Eric Twiname
Championships 2011 at Rutland Water; where young sailors were invited to
take part in the championships by their respective RYA High Performance
Managers. Races were held over the two days in conditions ranging from light
and breezy on the first day to to stronger winds on 2nd day. Zara kept the
boys on their toes; narrowly missing out on the overall first place by only
1 point over the total of six races and was awarded the silver medal overall
