Roger writes: "I'd not seen Jim Thompson since my Sister's wedding which must be 16 years ago.
Although Maureen/Last Tango/Myself chickened out of the racing, the 3 of us had only been on the
water once since about 88!! Owen was stupid/brave enough to ask me to crew his 470 for the second race.
I'd not been in a 470 since I stopped campaigning one in 79 for the 80 Olympics with Steve Goacher
(28 YEARS for goodness sake!!) and I'd not been on a wire since 86 in Perth Western Australia.
It was great fun to be back.
